BIOGRAPHY
Joan was born in Windsor Ontario
Canada. Her father was a Pentecostal Minister from Chatham Ontario and her
mother was a Southern Gospel singer from St. Louis Missouri.
She now makes her home in Toronto Ontario.
Coming from a musical family of 6 she decided at an early age to serve the
Lord through music and dedicated her heart and life to that aim.
Joan, her husband, son, and daughter ministered as "The Elliott Family"
from 1978-1988 throughout Canada. The Canadian Gospel Music Association honored
"The Elliott Family" with many awards during that time. Now she
and her husband Milt have a fulltime solo ministry, which began in 1990. With
Joan singing, some speaking and giving her testimony. Her husband is the sound
technician.
As well as T.V. appearances, on 100 Huntley Street and The People's Church,
her ministry has taken her all through Ontario, Western Canada, The United
States, and as far south as the Caribbean Islands.
In 1994 Joan was offered and accepted a recording contract with The Lamp Music
Group in Atlanta Georgia.
She doesn't just sing the Gospel but Ministers in Song because she truly believes
the words she sings.
